"I wanna tell you something, at a certain point in your life, probably when too much of it has gone by. You will open your eyes, and see yourself for who you are. Especially for everything that made you so different from all the awful normals. And you will say to yourself but I am this person, and in that statement, there will be a kind of love. MY FIRST TRIATHLON

Pre tri jitters...
Its 10:56pm - i'm suppose to sleep but i'm here typing.... (-_-)"' haiz...

I can sleep thought i'm tired... nervous yet excited... I think my stomach is going to regurgitate all those bananas n water i had. i feel nauseas. ok think i'm going to bed. nitez...

Tri morning....
Morning woke up at 645am... walked zombiely to toilet, had bananas n water again... feel like puking, can't stand the sight of them.. yike! waited for sue at mac to pick me up.

Event - Asia's First Women Triathlon
We got there 5 mins b4 the race started prep our stuff at the transition area then got our no. writen in a hurry then scrubbling our way to the starting point. we were the 1st wave for our event (sprint dist. ; swim 750m, cycle 20km, run 5 km), sue was saying our rush was sorta our warm up. keke...
Eunice Olsen flaged us off n a whole bunch off ladies dashed into the sea... hands scouring like ridding vegetation... legs kicking.... all for their own survival in water....

Once outta water, i scrumbled to the bike, looked out for sue she was waiting for me as promised. helmat, socks, shoes, no. tag, and i scooted off.... alamak!! my water!! drats! i'm gonna thrist for this 20k... that sue in the foreground!! she always my supported n i am hers!! GO GIRL!!

With that we zoomed off. I had a shaky start but the man behind the camera cheered me on... "slowly ade, STEADY! u can do it! look in straight in front..." yelled yusman. i caught up to sue cos she was aiting for me keke (so sweet rite? *muck*) and we journeyed the 20k together she behind me toking to me, cheering me on... (i wanted to put the silly P plate on my back to warn other riders i couldn't find one keke...) other riders were very encouraging too... as they zoomed pass me on my right (slower riders keep left / over takers keep right) they'd yell " COME ON LADIES U CAN DO IT!!"

WOW such power n zest! i was almost flat even b4 the 5k U turn point...

OMG?!?!? i still have to do the U turn?!?!

As i approached, pp instructed to slow down n i did. The bicycle started to wobble n they said "keep ur hands straight" i listened. My mind all focused on the U turn I slowly paddled with an appropriate tilt of the handle, I DID IT!! WOOHOO!!!! i U turned!! wow the feeling was the power boost i needed to continue the race... sue was right behind me n we both cheered each other on....

Remembering the 1st time i rode a bicycle in east coast i couldn't even stop properly... now i could even U turn... hahaha.... for someone who have jus learnt the skill i would say kudos!! won't u not? keke.... *pat* *pat*

Well that was jus the first round only the first 10k we have another 10k to go...

Suddenly, b4 we could even reach back the starting point it started to rain cats n dogs (initially then its seems the all hell broke loose in the zoo) the rain was so heavy i couldn't even open my eyes properly but what the hack! the race must continue... then i realised my phone was left in the bag left open. And i tot there goes my phone... haiz...

SO anyways in a nutshell, the race was cancelled when we arrived back at the starting point (timing was 1hour 15mins - no official timing to prove... wat a waste!) nvm that my legs were so wobbly i couldn't even push my bike let alone RUN 5k! haha!! i was indeed relieved but still disappointed i couldn't finish the race... meaning NO CERT!! but we still got our porceline medals (unique huh?)

But for the fun of it we took pictures of us at the finishing line, and at the prizze giving stand. keke...

I HAD LOADS OF FUN !!! That's for sure!! I'd do tis any time!!
